Strongly urbanized, the area Ile de France counts more hotels than camp-sites. It is however possible to plant one's tent in some places, in particular in the neighborhoods of the forest of Fontainebleau or in Yvelines.
Camp-site close to Fontainebleau: Located about ten kilometers far from Fontainebleau, the Parc du Gué camp-site is installed in full nature, at the edge of a pond. Sites for tents and hiring of mobil homes. Adventure playground for children. In the neighborhoods of the camp-site the play, sporting and cultural activities are very varied (visit of the castles of Fontainebleau and Vaux Le Vicomte, discover of the village of Barbizon, canoe and Kayak on Loing river, Amusement parks Fami Park and Eurodysney). Animals accepted if nondangerous, vaccinated and held. The camp-site is open from mid-March until the end of November.
